You book the accommodation — including the driver's room
On a multi-day trip you book and pay for the places you stay. Please book one extra single room for the driver on every night of the trip, at the same hotel or guesthouse as your group. The driver needs to be where the vehicle is in the morning, and Icelandic rooms fill up months ahead in summer.
Tell us your route and we'll tell you which towns to look in and which places we already know are good. You book them yourself, so you keep the choice and the loyalty points.

Pick a length and your start date. A deposit of at least half secures the vehicle and driver for your dates.
Frequently asked questions
- What is included in the price?
- A private vehicle for up to 8 passengers, a professional local driver-guide for the whole trip, all fuel and vehicle costs, and pickup and drop-off in Reykjavík or at the airport. Accommodation, meals and admission tickets are not included.
- Do you book our hotels?
- No — you book and pay for the accommodation, which keeps the choice yours. Please also book a single room for the driver on every night, in the same place as your group. We'll gladly tell you which towns to stay in for your route and which places we know are good.
- Can we change the route?
- Yes — that's the point of a private trip. Your driver-guide adjusts the plan daily around the weather, road conditions and what you enjoyed most so far.
- Which months work best?
- June to August gives long daylight and every road open, which suits the 7 and 8 day loops. Winter trips are possible but the Ring Road and Westfjords can close at short notice, so we may reroute.
- How does payment work?
- The price is the same whether you pay online or to the driver. A deposit of at least 50% is required to hold the dates; you can also pay in full up front. The balance is paid to the driver at the end of the trip.
